Dues are due next month at the July meeting.  This year they are $35.00.  The increase was passed by the board a year ago.

There will be a transition meeting on July 13 at 6:30pm at Mardell's clubhouse for all new and returning officers and committee chairs.

Nancy Keay will take over the Historian position from Andrea McColeman.  Rose Flannigan will take over the Hospice Quilt organization charts.

run one on July 24 to make towel hangers and wallets.  It will be at Mardell's  from 12-4pm.

Committee members and officers were acknowledged by Mardell for serving during her two year term.

Elections were held with Healther Stailey becoming  President, Vicki Gleason -- Treasurer, and Susan Harmon -- programs.

Mardell was presented with her President's quilt.  It turned out beautifully with 42 members contributing blocks that were expertly put together by Vicki Gleason.

Show and tell:  Rose Flannigan showed off an African quilt with beading.  Also an iris applique.

Judy Bowie did a colorful peacock.

Mary Cunningham did a delightful Noah's Ark quilt for a god child named Noah Norma Jean Nyman did a pastel log cabin quilt--very soft and subtle.

The program was a trunk show by Patricia Belyea "Embracing the creative Needle" with Yakata Fabrics from Japan.  She showed us her creations and a huge selection of the beautiful fabrics many in indigo, but others in bright colors.

      --Respectfully submitted,

          Marcia Cramer

Also, a correction to the June minutes: Mardell's beautiful
President's Quilt was pieced by Maggie Shields and quilted by Vicki
Gleason. They did such a lovely job on this special project using the
42 blocks made in secret by the membership. All the blocks were
individual with caring touches and the final project is amazing.
